“This is not just a job, this is an experience!” - Stefanie Hartson

Stef was hired in June 2006, and has been an asset to the company ever since.  Her strong work ethic and excellent people skills have made her a superb Assistant Manager.

Stef has been a salesperson for virtually her entire life, notably selling handmade buckwheat pillows in her childhood for extra cash.  “Growing up in a sales family, I knew I was destined to work in customer service one way or another,” she says.  All of her previous jobs have involved working with the public, and she has brought this keen sense of customer service with her to Ryan’s.  

At the store, Stef stocks pretty much every section, runs the register, and assists customers with product selection.  Her knowledge is focused on various imports (especially Argentina, Chile, and Italy) and California blends, but she feels more knowledgeable about Finger Lakes wine.  Additionally, bar tending experiences have led her to expand her knowledge of spirits, and she tends to focus on Tequila, Vodka, and Bourbon.

Stef earned her Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level II certification in 2008.  She’s attended various industry tastings in Rochester, and one in New York City.  She’s visited many wineries in the Finger Lakes region as well, especially those surrounding Keuka Lake.
